High Drive K9 Services Mission

High Drive K9 Services trains and develops state of the art personal home protection and service dogs that can be a home companion as well as a protector, security, military, and police patrol service dog. Our dogs undergo the best-in-class training to ensure our dogs are extremely well balanced and behaved, sociable, and vigilant. We are highly committed to providing the best results to all of our clients, every time!

History of High Drive K9 Services

High Drive K9 Services was established in 2014 by Chad Hanlon. It started out as a Training Division that has expanded over the years. He first started working with dogs in the oilfield where he travelled worldwide conducting private armed security,  and bomb and pipe leak detection. Since then, Chad has been training and raising working dogs for over 15 years. 

In 2008, Chad started training dogs with the RCMP, and soon after he joined a Canadian Municipal Police Service and remained policing with them for over 10 years. In 2019, the Security Patrol Division was created within the company, where Chad is currently a K9 handler. 

Using the knowledge gained from spending countless years studying dog behavior, theory, and psychology, Chad has been able to successfully select, raise, and train over 700 dogs. By specializing on training Police, Military, Security, and Private Client Service Dogs in both patrol and specialized detection, Chad uses real life distractions, pressures, and on-going changing environments, while still maintaining highly driven and proficient dogs. 

Over the years, High Drive K9 Services has grown and it currently contains a total of 15 different Divisions. All the training staff, security patrol members, and detection dog handlers are either former military, law enforcement, fire, medic, or any combination of the above.
